A Restorative Afternoon

at Restoration Hardware

Have you always dreamed of being one of those ladies who lunch? Or are you looking for a romantic respite in the middle of the city? Well, if you’re in West Palm, you can’t get more center-city than the new Restoration Hardware—built right in the middle of Okeechobee Boulevard, across from CityPlace, The Kravis Center and the Palm Beach County Convention Center.

Trust me, if you’re in the area, you can’t miss it. It’s like a gorgeous mansion in the middle of downtown. Just as surprising as the unusual location is what’s inside. I guess you could call it a furniture store—but that’s a pretty crazy understatement, as it’s more like a gallery—or even a museum. The designed interiors are nothing less than magnificent, with four floors to explore.

There’s an entire floor dedicated to RH Interiors, RH Modern, RH Baby & Child, RH Teen and RH Outdoor. There are rugs, accessories, lighting, fabrics and so much more—and it doesn’t look like anything you’ve ever seen before.

But wait. We aren’t done yet. So, when all these design choices make you tired, head to the fourth floor for refreshments. Here, you will discover one of the most beautiful dining establishments this town has ever seen. It’s the RH Rooftop Restaurant, Wine Vault and Pantry & Barista Bar. There is the gold vaulted ceiling, antique marble, Belgian limestone, a jaw-dropping glass and steel atrium—and incredible views of downtown. Step outside and enjoy the gorgeous rooftop park. It’s pretty unbelievable. So sip a Bellini and share some stone crab claws, a truffle grilled cheese and warm, melty chocolate chip cookies. All in all, a pretty incredible way to spend the afternoon.
